Issues for Consideration

The ambitious program of legal reforms straightens across judicial, competition, corporate and, finally, employment law. Last is certainly not least. The country’s labor and employment legislation required substantial changes as the market economy is constantly evolving. Moreover, harmonization with EU laws is certainly an anchor for introducing changes and work as gentle nudges.

We anticipate substantial changes and even more issues for consideration by both employers and employees. Predicting future concerns, we are devoting the last issue of 2017 to the labor agenda. Our cover story hero, Tetyana Ivanovych from Spenser & Kauffmann, gave a very detailed analysis of the draft Labor Code, while other contributors carefully analyzed the transactional aspects of labor law, activities of trade unions, dismissal of senior managers and employment of foreigners.

The biz lunch conversation took us to Australia to discover its legal market together with Michael Greene, managing partner of Henry Davis York law firm, which became part of the global powerhouse Norton Rose Fulbright from 1 December.
